Hannah

Indian Ocean Specialist

Hannah was born in the UK but moved to Macau at a very young age where she lived for the next ten years.

After finishing school, she got a job at a retired racehorse stable where she trained ex racehorses and taught local children how to ride. Living in Asia gave Hannah a fantastic opportunity to explore surrounding countries, including trips to Southeast Asia, where she fell in love with the people and the culture.

Since joining Audley, Hannah has had chance to indulge her passion for Asia further by exploring Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos, and now uses her specialist knowledge of these countries to help others experience this unique corner of the world.

Koh Tao, Thailand

I recommend visiting - Koh Tao, Thailand

Halong Bay in Vietnam is a truly amazing location and a must for any itinerary to Vietnam. The overnight junks that you stay on are beautifully decorated and waking up to the scenery in Halong Bay is a really memorable. The food onboard the junks is fantastic, and kayaking through the lagoons with virtually no one else in sight is really an unforgettable experience. The photo opportunities are pretty amazing too!

Denis Private Island, Denis Island

I recommend staying at - Denis Private Island, Seychelles

Deluxe

La Residence D'Angkor in Siem Reap has a fabulous location which is not far from the hubbub of activity in Siem Reap town. The food in the restaurant is mouth-wateringly good and the hotel also benefits from a salt water swimming pool with wonderfully comfy sun loungers surrounding it. The rooms are furnished beautifully and have the most amazing bathtubs I have ever seen!

I'll never forget when…

Being covered in mud in Sapa, Vietnam! During the rainy season trekking around the Tonkinese can be a little bit slippery! However, it was well worth the laundry bill as it was among some of the most amazing scenery that I have ever seen! With paddy fields to photograph, waterfalls to explore and small ethnic minority villages to visit Sapa has something for everyone — and don't worry, we can easily help you avoid the rainy season (and the mud!) if you prefer!
