Perched on the edge of the caldera (a cauldron-like volcanic feature) overlooking the vividly stunning Crater Lake surrounded by sheer 2,000-feet-high cliffs, the historic Crater Lake Lodge opened in 1915 and today continues to offer an authentic, rustic charm, with its welcoming wood and stone-clad Great Hall and lakefront dining room serving traditional northwest regional cuisine.
The hotel features 71 traditionally appointed guest rooms, either overlooking the lake or the beautiful valley and mostly with bath only.
From the hotel, enjoy a wide variety of outdoor pursuits on and around the lake; from volcano boat cruises, diving and fishing to hiking along Crater Lake's 90 miles of trails, cycling or cross-country skiing.
