This guided cycle ride allows you to see a more laid-back side to Los Angeles as you cruise through the Santa Monica and Venice areas on an electric bicycle. Along the way, you’ll learn about the history and architecture of the areas you pass through from your knowledgeable local guide, who will also be happy to take photographs of you at some of the key points along the route.
Far preferable to sitting in traffic congestion, you can enjoy fresh ocean breezes and the warm southern Californian sun as you take in sights such as the Santa Monica Pier, Muscle Beach and the historic Venice Canals.
After meeting your guide, you’ll depart from Santa Monica, hopping onto your Pedego beach cruiser bicycle. While it has been fitted with a 500-watt electric motor, it can also operate like a normal six-gear pedal bike, so you can be as active as you want.
You’ll first ride toward Santa Monica Beach, where there are well-maintained cycle trails along the waterfront and the vivid blue waves of the Pacific Ocean. You’ll also see Santa Monica Pier with its lit-up Ferris wheel, rollercoasters and vibrant arcades. On your way to Venice you will pass the renowned Muscle Beach here, where you can watch bodybuilders working out on the outdoor gym equipment, before you return to your original departure point.
