The Eco Camp is a concept hotel in the Torres del Paine National Park offering a unique camping experience. Guests sleep in individual domes. There are three categories of camping domes — 'standard' domes which are the smallest and make use of shared bathroom facilities and have no heating and two larger, 'superior' domes which have their own private bathroom facilities (composting toilets) and propane heaters.
These domes are usually reserved for walking groups as the camp operates an excellent range of five to ten day treks in the park. There are ten 'suite' domes which are extremely spacious and comfortable with wood-burning stoves and en suite bathrooms (composting toilets). These are used for the Wildlife Safari packages (those guests using the Camp as a base for a stay of three or four nights in the park and taking full day or half day excursions).
There are three 'core tents' which are made up of the dining area, a living room area and the room where the guides brief guests on their excursions. Food served here is simple but tasty and nutritious. Guests eat together on shared tables and prepare their own packed lunches for their excursions. The camp is well located in the park and offers a good range of excursions.
