Set on a hillside on Fiji's third largest island, Taveuni Island Resort is poised between the forested mountains of Bouma National Heritage Park inland and some of the world's finest diving just offshore in the Somosomo Strait.
It’s a small and intimate lodge with rooms that are hand-crafted from local woods and materials. Each room has cool tiled floors, air conditioning, private outdoor courtyard showers, small kitchenettes and ocean views. You can easily reach the beach by walking for two minutes down the hill.
From the resort, you can participate in a range of water sports. The whole resort has the feel of a retreat but is also a popular destination for divers.
This property has a hideaway feel, and its greatest asset is its panoramic views over the Somosomo Strait. It’s a good fit if you’re interested in diving the strait and relaxing in an intimate resort.
