Centrally located across from the city’s popular waterfront Fish Market, Hotel Bergen Børs offers a stylish stay inside a building that was once the city’s stock exchange. Thoughtfully renovated to retain the building’s heritage and classic features while simultaneously introducing modern comforts and design, the hotel is now one of Bergen’s most exclusive options.
Each of the 127 rooms and suites has a chic, Scandinavian minimalism, with a cool, monochromatic palette of ice white and warm grey, set off by an occasional splash of vibrant red. The hotel’s bar, set within the grand chamber of the old Commerce Hall, has high ceilings and an extensive selection of drinks, highlighted by bright back lighting. The hotel is also home to the Michelin-starred BARE, which serves an elaborate tasting menu focused around local, seasonal ingredients.
We think this is one of the best hotels in the city, combining an excellent location with elegant rooms and attentive service.

Rooms
The hotel’s 127 rooms and suites all share a palette of cool Nordic grey and white, leavened by the occasional bright-scarlet pillow or curtain. The decor is classic and clean, with a hint of Scandinavian minimalism, making it a restful retreat.
You can choose from a wide range of categories, from standard double rooms to generous suites with separate sitting areas and views of the water and city. The Family Room is large enough for four, with unusually angled walls and ceilings, supported by the original wide wooden beams.
All the rooms have modern, white-tiled bathrooms with showers — some suites also have tubs.
