Thaala Bentota was originally designed by architect Geoffrey Bawa, who took inspiration from an 18th century Dutch village to create a romantic beach house. Reminders of its heritage remains, but now with modern amenities and d茅cor throughout, the Thaala offers a relaxing beach stay with comfortable rooms and a pool-side restaurant with ocean views. Galle Fort is a short drive away, as is Ambalangoda mask museum, Beruwala lighthouse, Brief Gardens and more.
