Itinerary idea in detail

With international flights from a choice of airports including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Glasgow.

  • Today you begin your journey by boarding your international outbound flight to Bergen. On arrival at Bergen Airport, you'll be met by your private driver and taken to your centrally located hotel. The afternoon is your own. You might want to ride the Fløibanen funicular to enjoy spectacular views from the top of Mount Fløyen, or simply wander through the artisans' stalls and shops of Bryggen, Bergen's old town.

  • This morning, head out into the mountains with your private guide, to explore some of the landscapes around Bergen on a hike. Along the way, you'll be treated to views across the city and out toward the sea and nearby fjords. Your guide will also teach you about the geography, flora and fauna of the area, as well as about local life.

  • You'll leave Bergen today and embark on a shared cruise to ¹ó±ôÃ¥³¾. This is a thoroughly relaxing way to travel, allowing you to soak up the scenery of the myriad tiny islands and skerries around Bergen, then of the grand Sognefjord as you continue your journey to ¹ó±ôÃ¥³¾.

  • Take to the water to explore the fjord scenery by boat with a small group. In an open Zodiac boat, you'll travel through the heart of Norway's fjordland in an exciting manner, discovering small villages and waterfalls as you traverse the UNESCO World Heritage Site of ±·Ã¦°ùø²â´ÚÂá´Ç°ù»å. This is a narrow fjord whose steep-sided slopes tower over the water below. As you return toward ¹ó±ôÃ¥³¾, stop for a gentle hike into the hills to a traditional Norwegian mountain farm. Here, you'll learn about the heritage of traditional goat's cheese production and indulge in a tasting before settling down to a lunch of homemade, local produce. After lunch you'll return by boat to ¹ó±ôÃ¥³¾.

  • Board the ¹ó±ôÃ¥³¾ Railway to Myrdal where you'll change trains to Bergen. At the station, you'll be met and driven to the airport in time for your onward flight to Stockholm.

  • Embark on a kayaking tour through the waterways of central Stockholm, enjoying views of the city from a different perspective and learning about its history and main sites as you go.

  • You'll be driven to the airport for your flight north into Swedish Lapland, then transferred to the Treehotel. Later, enjoy a meal under the midnight sun, prepared with local ingredients on an open fire as you learn about the culture and traditions of the region.

  • Spend a few hours exploring the beauty of the Lule River from a kayak. You'll traverse up and down the river at your own pace, enjoying the flora, fauna and geography of the area as you go. Enjoy a packed picnic lunch on the riverbank, before paddling back toward your hotel.

  • You'll be driven to the airport in time for your onward flight. Your return flight will arrive the same day.
