I first went to Australia on my gap year after finishing school. I fell in love with the Australian way of living, their beautiful beaches, diverse food and drink scene, and amazing wildlife.
The most memorable place I’ve visited in Australia has to be the Great Barrier Reef, particularly Lady Elliot Island. I’m a keen diver and getting to see the diverse marine life up close was really special. My time in Australia ignited my love for travel, and while I’ve visited other incredible places since, something about Australia keeps me going back. During my most recent trip to Australia I was able to visit new parts of the country, such as Tasmania, Kangaroo Island, and the Blue Mountains.
Australia has so much to offer and so much to see — every time you go you can have a totally different and equally amazing experience. I feel so excited to share my love and passion for this country and help create memorable experiences for those looking to visit.

Q&A with Aly
What’s your most vivid travel moment?
I went on a fantastic boat tour to Wineglass Bay in Freycinet National Park, Tasmania. The tour was all about showcasing Freycinet’s natural beauty — its turquoise waters and white beaches. I was lucky to see a variety of wildlife such as sea birds, seals, and even humpback whales. The highlight was when a pod of around 30 dolphins surrounded our boat, I was right at the front of the boat and got an incredible view as the dolphins zoomed around us.
Where would you love to travel next?
Japan, and especially Tokyo, has been on my radar for a while. Its food scene, combined with incredible scenery, fascinating history, and rich culture, makes it high my list of places to visit next. It seems unlike anywhere I've been before, and I’d love the opportunity to explore what the country has to offer.
Your best piece of travel advice?
Be prepared for all weather. As much as Australia is known for good weather and its glorious sunny days, it can also be cool and sometimes rainy. The weather never hinders the experience, but it can really affect your day if you’re not properly prepared. Always check ahead and keep a rain jacket with you as being cold and soggy on a day tour might detract from your enjoyment of the experience. In Tasmania specifically, the winds can be really cold as they come from Antarctica.
