Offering all-inclusive stays, La Reata is a working cattle ranch where guests can immerse themselves in the true wild of Saskatchewan.
Spend your days exploring the endless hills on horseback, hiking the local trails or getting out onto the water by boat or canoe. At night, visit the La Reata Saloon, where you can relax and learn even more of the cowboy culture. End your days beside the campfire, under the stars.
We love the authenticity of La Reata Ranch, a true return to the cowboy culture of Canada’s prairies. Make sure to spend an evening relaxing on the lakeshore under the stars.

Rooms
Guests stay in one of six Western-style private cabins, each with two double beds. For larger groups, two cabins with loft bedrooms are available, with enough room for up to six guests. All cabins have private bathrooms with showers, and the La Reata team take pride in the comfort and cleanliness of their rooms.
Location
Perched on the shores of Lake Diefenbaker, La Reata Ranch boasts over 5,000 acres of pasture and nine miles of shoreline. 20 minutes’ drive from the nearest town, the ranch’s isolated location could not be more perfect. Enjoy a varied ‘Wild West’ landscape of canyons, open fields, endless prairies and riverside beaches, exactly as you would expect from a working ranch.
Food and drink
Breakfast and dinner are served family-style at the ranch’s Cookshack, and the ranch’s crew will join you to eat. Lunches are eaten wherever you find yourselves during the day, whether this be on the water or in the pastures, sometimes accompanied by a campfire for fresh hot drinks. Expect hearty North American cuisine and home-baked pastries.
