Naturally Pacific Resort is one of Campbell River's newest hotels. It's located about a five minute drive from the waterfront and right next to the local golf club. The tastefully designed rooms, spa, pool, fitness room, and golf course provide a relaxing base to explore the region's natural wonders.

There are three types of rooms, each with a fresh, natural and contemporary design. You can wake up to the sun rising over the mountains and golf course, or glistening off the Discovery Passage with the fresh smell of salt in the air. Each room comes with the usual conveniences including a bar fridge, Nespresso coffee machine, complimentary Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, and bathrobes.

To sate your appetite, head to Carve Kitchen for locally sourced, seasonal ingredients in a relaxed atmosphere either in the dining room or on the terrace. There's also the Velocity Lounge for more casual food, a selection of cocktails and craft beers all overlooking the golf course. The resort also houses a delightful modern spa, a pool and hot tub, sauna, gym, and the golf-course.

OUR OPINION:

While Naturally Pacific is a resort property, it鈥檚 clear that no expense has been spared making it a welcoming and comfortable base for exploring the region.

Rooms

Three different types of room are available at the resort: King room; two Queen rooms; and an Executive suite. Each room has either a mountain or ocean view and has been decorated in a contemporary Art Deco style with pops of color, clean lines and modern furnishings. Both rooms and suites have plenty of space to relax, including a comfortable sofa, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a terrace or balcony. Each has the typical amenities including a coffee machine, LCD TV, complimentary Wi-Fi, hair dryer and bathrobes. The executive suite has a separate bedroom and additional living space.

Location

Naturally Pacific Resort is located on the outer edge of Campbell River, adjacent to Campbell River Golf Club. The resort is a short drive to the waterfront where many whale and bear watching tours depart from, along with the ferry to Quadra Island for day trips. Elk Falls Provincial Park is also just a five minute drive from the hotel.

Food and drink

There are two dining options at the resort: Carve Kitchen + Meatery, and Velocity Lounge. Carve offers an upscale casual experience with steaks as their specialty. It鈥檚 open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and the bar provides a choice of over 60 wines and hand-crafted cocktails. Velocity Lounge is located by the driving range and has a social, sports lounge atmosphere with casual 鈥榩ub-grub鈥� fare.

Facilities and activities

One of the main draws of the resort is the golf club, welcoming seasoned golfers and beginners on its well-maintained course. There is a virtual driving range to practice your swing, with Toptracer Range technology, allowing you to see your statistics as you play. There is also a fitness facility, indoor pool and outdoor hot tub, along with a fresh, contemporary spa with a range of treatments, and a mineral pool experience.
