The tiny settlement of Port Severn lies on the shore of Severn Sound in the southeast corner of Georgian Bay and is the gateway to the Trent-Severn Waterway.

The village, originally named Severn Mills, was founded with the creation of a saw mill in 1830.

Exploring the surrounding area

Today, it is perfectly positioned for exploring Georgian Bay Islands National Park, Big Chute Marine Railway and the pretty lakeside inlets by boat or canoe.
