The Hilton Colon is one of Quito’s hotel traditions, a fine hotel set at the end of the main Amazonas commercial street by the Parque El Ejido, where street painters and artists exhibit at the weekends. There are some 300 rooms situated in two towers, many of which have good views over to the old town.
There is an outdoor heated pool, a selection of restaurants (including the elegant Portofino serving tasty cuisine using the best Ecuadorian ingredients) and a fitness center. The hotel is also conveniently located next to the excellent Banco Central Museum.
