Perhaps the most picturesque of all the Society Islands, Huahine is actually two islands separated by a narrow channel and linked by a bridge.

Its mountainous interior is ringed by magnificent indented bays and pristine white sand beaches, and it is also home to one of the largest and best known archaeological sites of Polynesia, the Maeva Marae, at the foot of Mount Mouatapu and on the shores of Lake Fuana Nui.

Traditionally, Huahine was known as the ‘rebel’ island and famed for its fierce warriors and its resistance to change. Perhaps for this reason, it remains a ’secret’ among the Society Islands and offers a unique chance to discover a remote, untouched region of outstanding beauty.
