Blue Horizons Garden Resort is a tranquil retreat set in mature tropical gardens. Family owned and run, you can tell that real care has been put into the hotel and it has an old-school Caribbean feel. The owner, Arnold can often be observed strolling through the grounds, chatting to guests.
With only 32 rooms spread across the gardens, there’s a great feeling of space at the hotel and the white sands of Grand Anse Beach are approximately 300 m (984 ft) away. It may not have the facilities of larger resorts, but there’s a genuine, relaxed Grenadian feel. Each room has self-catering facilities so you can cook, dine in the hotel restaurant or walk to one of the nearby restaurants.
Set among blooming hibiscus trees and coconut palms, this welcoming resort is well cared for and is an ideal base for those looking to get out and explore the island. If you’re happy with fewer facilities, this is ideal if you’re looking for a smaller, less resort-like Caribbean stay.

Rooms
Set on a hill, rooms offer views over the delightfully manicured gardens and there are a few that offer partial ocean views.
The 32 studios and one-bedroom units are in plantation-style bungalows spread out among the mature gardens and there’s a feeling of space and quiet in the resort, even when full. All accommodation offers air-conditioning, ceiling fan, TV and a balcony or patio.
Location
Blue Horizons is built into a gently-rising hill on the southwest coast of Grenada, within walking distance of the shops and restaurants of Grand Anse. The capital, Saint George's is only a 15-minute drive away.
The hotel is set approximately 300 m (984 ft) from Grand Anse Beach, arguably one of the best on the island. Despite being popular with both locals and visitors, the beach is large enough that it never feels crowded and the southern end, which Blue Horizons is closest to, is the quietest.
Food and drink
Although the rooms are set up to enable self-catering, the hotel does have a restaurant set up on the hillside with picturesque archways allowing great views of Saint George's and the bay. La Belle Creole Restaurant & Bar serves breakfast and dinner daily. There’s a focus on Caribbean dishes with an international twist, using locally-sourced ingredients.
The Aqua Pool Bar & Terrace serves alfresco lunch daily. There’s a daily social hour between 5.30pm and 6.30pm each day where guests are invited to come together to enjoy speciality cocktails.
Families
Children are very welcome here, a range of board games and puzzles are available from the hospitality desk. Babysitting services are available upon request, at a charge.
Environmental and social responsibility
With a keen sense of conserving the environment, Blue Horizons have worked hard to gain Green Globe Certification and have implemented a range of energy-saving projects. They also work with conservation charities, helping to preserve rare endemic plant species in the gardens, and offer birdwatching walks through the gardens.
Local excursions
The resort will be happy to help you book car hire as well as a range of excursions.
It’s well worth exploring the volcanic interior of the island, visiting some of the waterfalls and hiking trails. Or you may like to visit a cocoa plantation, a nutmeg producing plant, or the rum distillery at Lake Antoine. Due to the compact size of the island you can also do round-island tours incorporating several attractions in one day.
Diving
There isn't a dive center on site, but the hotel recommends Aquanauts Dive Centre located nearby at the beach.
Spa Facilities
Although there’s no spa at the resort, the hospitality desk will be happy to help you make bookings at a nearby spa.
