Itinerary idea in detail

Ask us if you would also like us to arrange your international flights at our preferred rates.

  • When you arrive, you’ll be met by a private driver who will drive you to your hotel in downtown Budapest. You’ll have the afternoon to settle in and perhaps take in a museum or enjoy dinner in the evening.

  • Get your bearings in Budapest with a private walking tour through the Castle District. You’ll pass by cobblestone streets and medieval squares as your guide explains the long history of Budapest and Hungary. You stop at the Presidential and Royal Palaces as well as Matthias Church and Fisherman’s Bastion. At the end of the tour, you can continue exploring on your own or your guide will escort you back to your hotel.

  • Spend the morning exploring the Pest side of the city with a private driver-guide. You’ll learn of the city’s rich Jewish heritage, see the Central Market Hall and its huge collection of local and traditional food vendors, and stop in City Park, which holds a number of important symbolic sites and memorials. The last stop is the renowned Széchenyi Thermal Bath, where you can enjoy the spa at your own leisure or your guide can take you back to your hotel.

  • Your private driver and guide will take you north of Budapest to the Danube Bend, where you’ll visit a selection of rural Hungarian villages. Highlights include Esztergom’s Bakócz Chapel, where you can enjoy panoramic views of the countryside, and the castle town of Visegrád, as well as Szentendre, known for its Baroque architecture and brightly painted buildings. At the end of the tour you’ll be returned to your hotel.

  • In the morning, join a private guide for a culinary tour of Budapest’s old town. You’ll sample cakes, coffees, sausages and other local fare that illustrate the country’s blend of French, German, and Turkish influences. You’ll also have the chance to try some Hungarian wines.

  • As the trip comes to a close, you’ll check out from your hotel and meet your driver for a transfer to the airport, in time for your onward flight.
