Behind an unassuming red brick façade in Limerick’s stately Georgian Quarter is No.1 Pery Square, a hotel where quirky period decor brings the past to life. Inside, exposed brickwork, timber flooring, original fireplaces and elaborate ceiling moldings reveal a wealth of character.
Contemporary meets classic in the Period rooms where botanic themed fabrics and antique furniture complement the building's integral charm, while the Club rooms have a more modern style.
The hotel’s restaurant, Sash, offers simple but elegant dishes created with seasonal ingredients often grown in the hotel’s kitchen gardens, while an intimate spa offers a sauna and steam room as well as pampering treatments.
The hotel is located in a quiet area about 10 minutes’ walk from central Limerick.
A beautiful boutique property, No. 1 Pery Square is our preferred option in Limerick for its attractive decor, period charm and friendly service.

Rooms
Rooms are divided into two main categories. Period rooms are named after former owners of the house and are decorated in heritage style with antique furniture, subtle florals and cast iron beds. By comparison, the classically elegant but more contemporary club rooms feature modern furnishings and are named after Irish poets. All rooms provide fresh, warm linens, and have large windows which allow in a generous amount of natural light. In addition to the period and club rooms there is also the Townhouse Suite, a penthouse suite with its own bar and dining area. All rooms feature free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs.
Location
Limerick’s Georgian Quarter is about a 10- to 15-minute walk from the heart of the city. The hotel is directly across the street from People’s Park and less than a ten-minute walk from the banks of the River Shannon. It is also just around the corner from both the Limerick City Gallery of Art and the Frank McCourt Museum.
Food and drink
No. 1 Pery Square prides itself on simple yet innovative dining, taking fresh ingredients from its own garden and using traditional techniques to create contemporary dishes. The restaurant’s name ‘Sash’ is a nod to the classically Georgian style of windows seen throughout the house. With floors made from wooden wine casks, chandeliers hanging from the ceiling and a delightful clutter of gilt mirrors, prints and maps on the walls, it creates an intimate yet classical environment in which to dine.Â
Facilities and activities
The hotel's luxurious spa is reached by a set of stairs illuminated by lanterns and candlelight and housed within old coal bunkers with exposed stone walls that extend under the street. There is a focus on detox and therapy while offering a complete range of comfort and pampering treatments ranging from full-body exfoliation to hot stone massages.
