Antica Torre combines rooms in a medieval tower with those in an 18th-century palazzo (palace). The property offers a real sense of character, with understated classical Florentine decor blending beautifully with modern amenities.
There is a large, homely sitting room with a small library where you can relax, but the highlight of the hotel is the breakfast room and rooftop terrace, which offers some of the best views in Florence. It overlooks the River Arno on one side and the Duomo on the other. The terrace is private for hotel guests and a wonderful spot to enjoy a drink and watch the sunset over the city.
We particularly like the understated elegance of the Antica Torre. The beautiful historic buildings and first class service make it an excellent base for exploring central Florence and strolling along the banks of the Arno.

Rooms
Due to the historic nature of the buildings that make up the Antica Torre, all the rooms have their own individual character and layout. Each room has been fashioned within the framework of the tower and palace, and this is displayed in the high ceilings, exposed wooden beams or the shape of the windows. All the rooms are beautifully furnished in classic yet elegant Florentine style with sumptuous fabrics and smart marble bathrooms. Various combinations of showers and baths are available depending on the room, but all are well equipped and of a high standard. A number of rooms enjoy views out over the Arno or the Basilica di Santa Trinita and all have Wi-Fi, air-conditioning and TVs.
Location
Set near the banks of the Arno and the Santa Trinita Bridge, Antica Torre is located in a very fashionable area of Florence, opposite the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum. The hotel is well placed for exploring Florence on foot (the Piazza della Repubblica is about a five-minute walk and the Duomo another five minutes further).
Food and drink
The Antica Torre boasts one of the best breakfast views in Florence. The top floor restaurant extends out onto an impressive terrace that offers spectacular views across Florence and the Arno and out to the Tuscan countryside beyond. The terrace is exclusive to guests and is a wonderful place to start the day or relax with an apéritif to watch the sunset.
