Family owned and operated since the 1800s, Kviknes Hotel is a grand, historic hotel conveniently located right on the shores of the Balestrand fjord, offering an excellent base for exploring the fjords. In the main building, the Victorian decor reflects the hotel’s heritage, with gold chandeliers and gilt frames, crown molding and antique furniture. The modern wing, where most of the 190 rooms are located, provides contemporary conveniences and style.
There are several different dining options, including a casual daytime café, a formal dining restaurant, and Balholm Bar, a bistro with a wide-ranging menu. The hotel can also arrange a wide array of activities to help you explore the region, from guided hikes and snowshoeing trips to maritime adventures on the fjord.
Historic features, exceptional views and warm family hospitality all make this our top choice in Balestrand.
