Set within relaxed, tropical grounds, a stay at Water Garden makes for an ideal break from the liveliness of Sri Lanka. You may wish to simply lounge during your day but there's plenty to keep you entertained on site with facilities including a large outdoor pool, a fitness center and a billiards table. Bicycles can also be rented for a small fee from the hotel reception.

The grounds at Water Garden are wonderful and we love the space here to relax. The views of Sri Lanka鈥檚 famous Sigiriya Rock are the cherry on the cake.

There are 30 villas located around the hotel grounds offering different features from gardens to plunge pools, with a buggy service to assist you in getting from your villa to the facilities which the hotel offers.

Location

Water Garden is located just outside the main town, with the iconic rock visible from the gardens. Due to its central location within the island of Sri Lanka, we recommend the property as a perfect stop on a wider cultural trip, though it's just four hours back to the airport and capital city, Colombo.

Food and drink

One main restaurant offers a mixture of fresh local and international cuisines, and you can choose to eat in the chic dining room, or al fresco with views of the gardens. Pre or post dinner, relax with cocktails at the Twin Level Bar, with 360-degree views of the surrounding rural landscape from the upper floor.
