Serengeti Balloon Safari

Balloon safari, Serengeti National Park

You will be collected from your lodge by a driver and Land Rover from the balloon safari company at about 5.00am and transferred to the launch site near the Maasai Kopjes. You will meet your pilot as the balloon inflates and as dawn breaks, you will take off and float over the Serengeti at the mercy of the prevailing winds. The pilot will alter the altitude as you fly, sometimes flying level with the treetops and sometimes rising to 1,000 feet or more, giving a unique perspective of this magnificent landscape.

The flight will last for around an hour before you land to celebrate with champagne before a full English breakfast prepared and served in style in the middle of the bush. After breakfast you will be driven back to your lodge, game viewing en route, to continue with your day's game viewing activities.
