The only lodging facility to be found at the Grand Canyon's North Rim, this lodge is located at Bright Angel Point and was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
With more visitors heading to the National Park's South Rim, this hotel and the many splendors of the North Rim have the added advantage of being less busy, thereby ensuring a more tranquil stay.
The lodge's dining room features regional as well as 1930s-themed cuisine and natural and organic produce is used wherever possible. There is also the Roughrider Saloon offering drinks and light snacks and the Deli in the Pines offers pre-packed sandwiches, pizza by the slice and ice cream.
The lodge features different categories of cabin-style accommodation as well as some motel rooms, located within easy walking distance of the canyon rim. The lodge's highlight, however, has to be the outside terrace which affords magnificent views over the Grand Canyon.
