In the natural paradise of the Adirondacks, nature takes center stage.

Noted for its sparkling lakes, majestic mountains and rushing streams, the Lake George region is the perfect place to get in tune with Mother Nature, although the town does get busy during the summer season. This is when visitors flock to the crystal clear waters of the lake for water sports, whilst in the autumn the trees are the highlight as they light up the countryside with hues of amber, yellow and crimson.

The area is also well known for its history and heritage; American novelist James Fenimore Cooper's novel The Last of the Mohicans was based on the Battle of Fort William Henry, which was fought here between the British and the French in 1757.

Meanwhile, the Hyde Collection in Glen Falls has works by Leonardo da Vinci, El Greco, Degas, Renoir and Cezanne, whilst the region was also the subject of many of Georgia O’Keeffe’s paintings.
