The River Inn is an intimate boutique hotel just outside downtown Memphis, bringing together the charm and hospitality of the Old South and the rich history of Mud Island, together with European style. The hotel is nestled in a lovely suburban neighborhood and has fantastic views over the river to Arkansas.
There are two restaurants for guests to choose from, as well as the impressive Terrace bar — a local favorite where you can enjoy superb sunsets and a vast array of cocktails and finger food. The rooms and suites are individually decorated with a tasteful mix of European and Southern influences.
The River Inn offers all the trappings of a country hotel, with excellent service and homely touches, yet it sits only ten minutes from downtown Memphis, offering the perfect compromise for guests wishing to stay in a peaceful location but still explore the city.

Rooms
All of the rooms and suites are elegantly appointed in Southern and European decor, with walnut armories and four-poster beds adding character and warmth. Standard, Deluxe and Superior rooms differ in size and offer either king or queen beds, with guests able to request a room with views over the river. Most of the Superior rooms are situated on the corner of the building, allowing for more space and natural light. Meanwhile, the handful of expansive suites each have a spacious sitting area and exceptional views over the Mississippi. Wi-Fi can be accessed from all of the rooms, with TVs and safes also included.
Location
Overlooking the Mississippi River and within a short drive or tram journey of downtown Memphis, the River Inn is a relaxing retreat but provides easy access to the city's attractions. The surrounding suburb of Harbor Town is quiet and peaceful, with plenty of fresh local delis and bakeries.
Food and drink
Guests at the inn are treated to a gourmet breakfast at Paulette’s Restaurant, where dinner is also served. Alternatively, you can dine at Tug’s Casual Grill. Enjoy a sundowner at the rooftop bar, Terrace, where folding windows allow a cool breeze to float through in summer and provide unparalleled views of the Mississippi in one direction and the Memphis skyline in the other.
Facilities and activities
Facilities on site include complimentary guest computers, a library/sitting room, free parking and a gym, with guest passes to a larger local gym also provided.
