Excellent

Rooms

The hotel offers several different room types, with the entry-level option being the Standard Queens, which despite lacking good views are the most protected from the noise of the streets. Superior King rooms have a little more space and excellent storage options, as well as a minibar, while Deluxe Kings provide guests with partial views of the Hudson River or Empire State Building. There are also Deluxe Double rooms, which come with two double beds to accommodate up to four guests; as well as Deluxe Accessible Doubles to cater for guests with limited mobility. Meanwhile, Grandview Kings (also available with two queen size beds) boast the largest room size along with unobstructed views of Manhattan.

All rooms are tastefully decorated and feature a good range of amenities, including Wi-Fi, HDTVs, individually controlled heating/air conditioning, hair dryers and laptop safes.

Location

The Distrikt’s location is a big draw for visitors — Bryant Park is only two blocks away and New York’s famous Times Square can be reached on foot in less than ten minutes. There are also several nearby subway stations should you wish to explore further afield.

Food and drink

The hotel’s Collage Bistro and Bar serves both a light continental breakfast or a larger cooked breakfast each morning. In the evenings guests can also enjoy refreshments at the bar, with free snacks and cheaper drinks available during the 'Social Hour' between 5pm and 8pm. The bar is a great space to relax with a beer or a cocktail before heading out to explore the city's restaurants, bars and buzzing nightlife.

Families

Families can stay in the Deluxe Doubles and Grandview Doubles, which can both accommodate up to four guests.

Facilities and activities

Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the building and guests can use the hotel’s partnered Mid-City Gym just a few blocks away for free. The Distrikt also provides guests with a complimentary luggage storage service prior to check in and check out, and valet parking is available; although it's fairly expensive.
