Mukambi Safari Lodge occupies a lovely location in the central Kafue, in a rewarding game viewing area. The main area is set over two floors, situated right on the river, with plenty of comfy chairs where you can relax and enjoy the views as well as a bar and dining area.
A swimming pool is tucked away in the gardens, as well as an open-air gym for those needing their daily workout. There are eight chalets set back from the river on the lawns. Each is a rondavel with thatched roof, with twin or double beds with mosquito nets and a small en suite with shower — water is solar heated and the chalets are solar powered. There is a family chalet which has a double and twin room, with a shared lounge and shared bathroom, as well as a family villa which is right on the riverfront, with two en suite bedrooms and shared sitting area.
Finally there are four luxury safari tents, right on the river, which are beautiful. They are spacious and open plan, with a king-size or twin beds with mosquito netting, sitting area, shower, basin and separate loo. At the front of the tents is a wooden deck with chairs and an outdoor bathtub.
