Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome

Rocco Forte Hotel de Rome

Berlin, Germany

With details like original wood panels and re-purposed bank vaults, the luxe Hotel de Rome still recalls its past as the 19th-century headquarters for Dresden Bank. However, it now also offers a rooftop bar with sweeping panoramic city views, a restaurant boasting a Michelin-star chef and a convenient location to much of what Berlin has to offer.

Past its marble façade, large columns frame the entrance to the lobby, where you can see the hotel’s combination of historic grandeur and modern elegance in features like marble flooring, a glass-accented ceiling and dark furnishings.

The hotel has 108 rooms and 37 suites, all generously sized and decorated in an elegant minimalist style. The Historic Banker Suite was once a palatial conference room, while the indoor pool formerly housed the bank’s treasured jewels.

OUR OPINION:

We love this hotel for its history, its location and most of all, its panoramic rooftop terrace, an excellent spot to sip a cocktail and enjoy the views of the city.
