  • Upon arrival in Lisbon, you’ll be met by your private driver and taken to your hotel. Take the afternoon to relax and refresh after your flight.

  • Today, you’ll enjoy a full-day tour of central Lisbon before venturing out to the district of Belém, where Portugal’s signature pastel de nata (custard tart) originated. This evening, enjoy a traditional fado performance over dinner.

  • Having tasted pastel de nata in Belém, today you’ll become more familiar with the treat as you make your way through the pastry shops of Lisbon, enjoying tastings along the way before enjoying a cooking class where you’ll learn how to make pastel de nata yourself.

  • This morning, you’ll leave Lisbon and make your way east to Évora in the Alentejo. Along the way, you’ll stop in a local family-run winery for a tour and tasting.

  • Spend your day at leisure exploring the Roman ruins of Évora. Highlights here include the pink granite cathedral, the Temple of Diana and the Capela dos Ossos, or the ‘Chapel of Bones’.

  • Moving on from Evora today, you’ll be taken back to Lisbon for your flight to Madeira. Arriving in Funchal, you will be met and taken to your boutique hotel in the heart of the city by private transfer. Once you’ve settled in, get to know the island's food scene with a dining experience at a classic Madeiran Quinta, surrounded by picturesque tropical gardens. Enjoy a six-course meal paired with local wines. Many of the ingredients for this evening's meal will come from the onsite garden, the local community or the market and will highlight the abundance of fresh food on offer on the island.

  • After a relaxing morning at your hotel, you’ll explore the capital on a privately guided tour of the city at lunchtime today. Immerse yourself into the fascinating local history, culture, and culinary delights during your walking tour. This afternoon you’ll discover the secrets of Madeira’s embroidery. Embroidery has played a large part in the history and culture of the island and during your private experience you’ll get a glimpse into the art form. Learn about the steps involved in creating the unique masterpieces before trying your hand at a small piece under the watchful eyes of the embroidery artists.

  • An early start this morning, as you journey along the winding roads of Madeira and to the summit of Pico do Arieiro for your private picnic. You’ll be taken to a peaceful spot, high above the clouds to witness the sunrise surrounded by nature. As the sun begins to rise, you’ll sit down for your breakfast and toast the arrival of a new day with a glass of sparkling wine. Once you are back at your hotel, you have the rest of the day to explore Funchal. Maybe visit the Monte Gardens today or sample some of Madeira’s well-known wines.

  • Meet your specialist biking guide this morning to explore the island’s remote hinterland on an e-bike. You’ll follow the Levadas, a system of stone channels carrying rainwater from the mountains to the towns, deep into the forest and enjoy the panoramic views and diverse flora. The rest of the day is for you to spend at your leisure. Perhaps relax by the pool or visit one of the many museums in the city.

  • Your private driver will take you from your hotel back to the airport today for your international flight home.
