Quiet and unassuming but lovingly designed, 2 Blackburne Terrace is discreetly tucked away on a cobbled, tree-lined street in the culturally-rich Georgian Quarter of Liverpool. Owners Sarah and Glenn are local residents and along with their friendly dog Miles, welcome you with warm hospitality.
Their background in design and the high level of detail with which they care for their home and guests is obvious in the meticulously-curated decor which artfully combines bold statement furniture with traditional antiques and modern art. Little personal touches can be seen throughout from monogrammed cushions and locally-sourced chocolates in your room to hand-squeezed orange juice for breakfast.
High ceilings and natural light lend an airy feel to the four individually-decorated rooms. All are large and bright with thick carpets, oversized beds, and marble bathrooms with freestanding Victorian tubs.
Breakfast is an elaborate, communal affair cooked to order and served around the large table in the dining room. Several hot options are available, including signature sausages from the local butcher, as well as a large selection of fresh fruit, homemade compote and assorted fresh and locally-sourced breads.
We think that 2 Blackburne Terrace offers an ideal combination of attractive, elegant rooms and warm hospitality, and we love the location which is both central but peaceful.
