The hotel’s spa, the Bath House, has exclusive access to the natural thermal, mineral-rich waters of Bath and also contains saunas, a steam room, and an ice alcove. You can also get a supply of the waters in the bathrooms of the Bath Spa rooms and the Bath Spa Suite.

Rooms

The rooms and suites at the Gainsborough Bath Spa were conceived by award-winning Champalimaud Design, in a contemporary yet classic style. All the rooms include complimentary minibars and coffee makers, and some have views of Bath’s skyline. An iPod docking station, flat-screen TV and complimentary Wi-Fi all come as standard in every room. Access to the natural thermal waters of Bath is provided in the bathrooms of the Bath Spa rooms and the Bath Spa Suite, an amenity that’s exclusive to this property.

Location

The Gainsborough Bath Spa is within walking distance of the major sights of the city. The Roman Baths can be reached on foot in less than five minutes, and the Thermae Bath Spa is visible from the hotel.

Food and drink

Cuisine inspired by seasonal ingredients is served for lunch and dinner at the Gainsborough Restaurant, while all-day dining and afternoon tea are available in the hotel’s Canvas Room. The Gainsborough Bar is a good on-site option for afternoon or evening drinks, serving traditional drinks as well as modern, bespoke cocktails.
