Limelight Hotel

Aspen, The US

First built as the Wild West-style Ski and Spur Bar in the 1950s, the Limelight Hotel has since been a restaurant, nightclub and folk music venue before opening its doors to guests as a small ski lodge in the 1960s. Later, it was rebuilt and expanded to become the modern 126-room hotel it is today.

While history hasn't been forgotten, the property's contemporary interiors and modern amenities allow for a comfortable and relaxing stay. Rooms are light and airy, decorated in fresh neutral tones that are complemented by dark wood furniture. Outside, hot tubs provide a place to relax and soothe aching muscles, while the two rooftop terraces, furnished with sofas and lounge chairs, offer views over the Rocky Mountains.

After exploring the area on foot, by bike or out on the ski slopes, enjoy dinner in The Lounge restaurant accompanied by live music five nights a week.

OUR OPINION:

We like this boutique hotel's central location in the fashionable Colorado mountain town of Aspen. The rooftop terraces are a particular highlight, giving you great views of the Rocky Mountains.
