Built in 1933, during the peak of California's coastal expansion, The Georgian Hotel still retains the charm and personality of its heyday when Hollywood bosses, screenwriters and movie stars alike flocked here for its seclusion and oceanfront exclusivity.
Brought up to date with modern amenities and within walking distance of the Palisades Park, Santa Monica Pier and Third Street Promenade, The Georgian boasts remarkable views over the Pacific, and offers 84 stylishly appointed rooms and suites, many of which are ocean facing.
Air-conditioned throughout, rooms feature a minibar, tea/coffee-making facilities, cable TV and MP3-compatible alarm clock. The Veranda Restaurant offers a tapas-style menu, as well as its signature Art Deco martini, the Georgini.
What The Georgian lacks in space it makes up for in character, as although the rooms are not as big as other hotels in the area they feature original Art Deco decor and authentic fittings. This is also one of the best locations for access to the beach, the shops and the restaurants — everything is a short stroll away.
