Located just on the edge of the town's main center, the Daikichi is an excellent example of traditional accommodation, and one of the most conveniently located inns for exploring the Nakasendo Highway.
The inn's five rooms are small and basic, with shared bathrooms, but ooze that authentic Japanese feel and command excellent views of the nearby wooded valley.
The food is sourced from local produce and what you get is very much dependent on the season. Some of the specialities you can expect to taste vary from mountain vegetables to handmade buckwheat noodles.
