Killawasi Lodge

Perched on a ridge looking out toward the canyon on the edge of the pleasant town of Yanque, this small lodge is a great option if you're looking for a peaceful stay in the Colca Valley. Killawasi has only 12 rooms across two floors, all of which are light, spacious and comfortable. Despite their traditional style, the rooms have good quality modern bathrooms and amenities such as Wi-Fi, an iPod dock and a safe with each room having either a good sized terrace or a balcony.

There is a small restaurant with pleasant views into the valley, and hammocks in the garden. Included in the price of a stay here (when staying two nights or more) is a three-hour afternoon guided walk through the Colca Valley to the Oqolle amphitheater and Uyo Uyo archaeological site which finishes at some nearby hot springs (entrance price not included).

      Climb Condor's Cross

Condor’s Cross is situated on top of one of the steepest sides of the Colca Canyon. It is in these forested slopes that the families of condors nest, and you are more than likely to see several take to the air and glide on the thermals.
