The Manila Hotel opened in 1912 and has retained its turn of the century charm. The rooms overlook either Manila Bay and Rizal Park or the ancient walls of Intramuros. The Champagne Room serves French cuisine; Cowrie Grill, which is completely covered in cowrie shells, serves steaks and seafood; there is also the Ginza Japanese Restaurant and the Cafe Ilang-Ilang.
As well as a gym, The Health Club has a swimming pool, tennis and squash courts, sauna and massage service, a games room and an electronic golf simulator.
