Two further restaurants, Kaffi Rauðku and Hannes Boy bistro are just a few minutes’ walk away and serve coffee and cakes and meaty stews, barbecue dishes, and Icelandic specialties respectively. The hotel also has a marina-facing hot tub, a sauna, and a helpful reception team who can advise on the area’s attractions, including the Herring Era Museum, the Beer Spa, and the Segull 67 brewery.

OUR OPINION:

Not only is Hotel Sigló an appealing ideal base for exploring Iceland’s remote north, but it also has a sauna and a hot tub overlooking the marina. We also love the surrounding mountain scenery and sea views.
