With sweeping views of Kachemak Bay, the Kenai Peninsula Suites has a tranquil location on the waterfront just outside Homer, Alaska. It is set on a large site with its five spacious cabins well spaced across clipped lawns.Â
The cabins are individually designed and decorated with The Puffin offering the most traditional and intimate space. There are two 'dens' built into the coastal headland as well as a log yurt and the two-story Eagle's Nest cabin. All are rustic but comfortable with handmade furniture, patchwork quilts and private decks with impressive views. Each has a small kitchenette as well as a large TV, private bathroom and complimentary wireless internet access.
The property also has a fire pit and a hot tub, both of which offer panoramic views over the bay. Although there is no restaurant on site, each cabin has its own barbecue if you would like to cook. Alternatively, there is a good choice of restaurants and cafés just a few minutes' drive away in Homer.
Although out of town and so a short drive from the restaurants, it is well worth it for the views over Kachemak Bay. This is one of the best places to watch the sunset from your private deck.
